Defining the flexibility window in ordered aluminosilicate zeolites
The flexibility window in zeolites was originally identified using geometric simulation as a hypothetical property of SiO2 systems. The existence of the flexibility window in hypothetical structures may help us to identify those we might be able to synthesize in the future. We have previously found that the flexibility window in silicates is connected to phase transitions under pressure, struct...
متن کاملModeling zeolites with metal-supported two-dimensional aluminosilicate films.
Zeolites are one of the most widely used materials in heterogeneous catalysis. However, the current understanding of the relation between structure and reactivity of these complex and highly porous materials mostly comes from studies employing bulk-sensitive techniques and from theoretical calculations based on educated assumptions about the inner surface within the pores present in the framewo...
متن کاملA top-down methodology for ultrafast tuning of nanosized zeolites.
We herein present a top-down methodology to prepare nanosized zeolites with tunable size by combining post-synthesis milling and fast recrystallization of several minutes (10 min for SSZ-13 and 5 min for AlPO4-5). A continuous-flow recrystallization process is demonstrated to further enhance the overall product efficiency.
متن کاملNanosized zeolites as a perspective material for conductometric biosensors creation
In this work, the method of enzyme adsorption on different zeolites and mesoporous silica spheres (MSS) was investigated for the creation of conductometric biosensors. The conductometric transducers consisted of gold interdigitated electrodes were placed on the ceramic support. The transducers were modified with zeolites and MSS, and then the enzymes were adsorbed on the transducer surface. Dif...
متن کاملSonochemical preparation of nanosized amorphous Fe-Ni alloys
Nanosized amorphous alloy powders of Fe20Ni80 , Fe40Ni60 , and Fe60Ni40 were prepared by sonochemical decomposition of solutions of volatile organic precursors, Fe~CO!5 and Ni~CO!4 in decalin, under an argon pressure of 100 to 150 kPa at 273 K. Magnetic susceptibility of Fe40Ni60 and Fe60Ni40 indicates blocking temperatures of 35 K and a magnetic particle size of about 6 nm. Thermogravimetric m...
